When the indicator light on the temperature control goes out, the cooking temperature has been reached, and food may be added. Heat may be increased or decreased, depending upon personal preference and the type or amount of food being prepared.	Easy to clean Save time and keep your cooktop or range clean by using this skillet. The Proctor-Silex Electric Skillet has an easy-clean nonstick surface. After the meal, the skillet dish and the lid go in the dishwasher for easy cleanup or you can hand-wash in hot soapy water. It is recommended that you only use wooden or plastic cooking utensils to prolong the life of the nonstick coating.
